Meet the Design Team

Jamie

Jamie Frame

Paper crafting began as a hobby years ago.  This hobby began by documenting my children's young lives.  It is a hobby turned passion!  I love the hands on creative outlet it provides.

I have 4 inspiring children and a husband that supports me whole heartedly.  I love to enjoy the great outdoors, get lost in a good book, and being surrounded by good friends and family!  I am excited to get to know each one of you---please join us in the ScrapGal forums!

Chelise

Chelise Crookshanks

My name is Chelise Crookshanks.  I live in a very rural town on the eastern side of Nevada.  This summer I will be celebrating my 10 year anniversary!  Chris and I have three children, Cade (5), Chloe (2) and Egan (a giant German Shorthair).  As a family we enjoy the outdoors, fishing, hiking, and hunting.    I am a teacher, my husband is a biologist, Cade is a shark biologist and Chloe is a princess last I checked.

I have been scrapbooking for 10+ years.   I love preserving memories and I specialize in meaningful journaling.  I  have been teaching lots of classes and designing personal scrapbooks for clients for the past 5 years.  It is time to give all of that a rest and focus on my own projects.  I am looking forward to inspiring others with my simple and practical style to help you tell your story.  I am so excited to be inspired by other members of the DT and the entire ScrapGal community.  Together we can all grow in this hobby we love so much.

My favorites in life include coffee, a good snow storm, bling, sitting on the mountain just before sunrise, Basic Grey, a ponytail and a hat, my new bow (and arrow), my camera, and a medium rare steak with blue cheese on top.

Laura

Laura Stewart

Nice to meet you! My name is Laura, and I live in the Midwest with my fiance and my sweet little dog. Ive been engaged for so long, that everyone has stopped asking "whens the *big* day"... In some form or another, I have scrapbooked since I was in elementary school. I enjoy all kinds of arts and crafts. I do a little sewing - easy stuff only though, like tote bags. I also like to make jewelry and other paper crafts (like cards). In fact, youll probably get a tip from me about making a card or two immediately after you finish a layout. I always take my page leftovers and make a couple of quick and easy cards. You already have the matching supplies picked out, and cards can be made with scraps and little bits & pieces. Give it a try! If I could have any job other that my real job at the office, I would be a photographer. My specialty and what I enjoy shooting the most, are portrait-type shots and architecture.

I am extremely honored and excited to be a part of the ScrapGal Design Team, and I look forward to seeing you in the forums and in the the gallery!

Chez

Jenny Cheznick

My name is Jenny Chesnick, most of my friends just call me Chez. I am a California transplant to Baltimore, Maryland. I've lived here for a few years now and am newly married to my hubs Bill. He has a daughter, Tori and we have two dogs Berkley and Libby. Whom we fondly named The Idiot Twins. I started scrapping about a year and half ago. One time going for a visit to my Moms she showed me her scrapbook. I was impressed and shocked to find how different it was since I was little. I started collecting stuff and dabbling a bit. Once I found an online store I was completely hooked! Seeing everyones designs and projects really showed me the world of paper crafting. I find myself now evolving my style into my own and really trying new things and having fun with myself. I have realized that it is ok to try things and if they dont come out the way you want thats ok! When it comes down to it, its really glue and paper and its yours, so what! I look forward to coming full circle and bring inspiration and laughter to others.

Michelle Sanders

I'm a small town girl from South Louisiana and still live in my sleepy little home town just west of Baton Rouge. I love the rich heritage and culture that surrounds me and I take joy in documenting it all. Married since 2002 to the sweetest (and most patient) man to walk the face of this earth. We welcomed our sweet little boy Zane into the world in September of 2006 and our lives have been forever changed. Ive had an addiction to scrappin from a very young age...back when peal and stick photo albums & scotch tape were acceptable. I see this wonderful hobby as an art form and I enjoy infusing my funky, edgy, gritty and sometimes graphic style into every page that I do. I love all things vintage, I love to distress things and don't feel a page is complete with out inking or sanding it up a bit.

Sue

Susan Johannes

My name is Susan Johannes and I have been obsessed by the craft to some degree for about 5 years.  I have 3 children (all girls) and my eldest is 9 and my youngest are identical twins, who are 6 years old.  My twins were born 12 weeks premature and so spent a long time at the hospital before they could come home.  During this time and for the first few months after the girls came home I had a lot of support from my mum, my mother in law and my sister in law.  I was so grateful to these people that I wanted to give them something to say thank you for helping me.  A friend of mine suggested I do this thing called Scrapbooking and so I decided to create a keepsake of my girls for each of these wonderful people.  So, my scrap obsession began with the making of 3 albums.  At first I was an avid magazine reader and buyer of product but not much scrapping went on.  I found an on-line site about 3 years ago and that is when scrapping really became an obsession for me!  My friends think Im crazy as none of them scrap but since going on-line I have met and become friends with so many wonderful scrap-obsessed people. I am so honoured and excited to be a part of this amazing community!
