Create '09

From 02 Jan 2009 to 01 Jan 2010 (included)

Welcome to a new year long challenge we're calling Create 09. The idea behind this challenge is to document 2009 in a creative way. I will be using my 7 Gypsies ATC spinner for this project, but you could use a deck of cards, any ATC's, an art journal, mini book, layouts, whatever format you wish. We will be providing you with a weekly prompt. The idea is for you to take the prompt and create something relating to your week. Prompts will include journaling ideas, techniques, challenges and guest artist prompts. We will post a new prompt every Friday in this forum.

Here's a look at my project:

I have created a "Happy 2009" card as my intro card and my first card for this week's prompt:

This week's prompt, your first prompt for this challenge, is "What is your wish for 2009?" I decided to use my Ali Edwards one little word choice for the year as the basis of my card. Here's the front of my card:

I am so glad you are doing this. I thought about doing something similar but I knew I would lose track.

Right now my word for 2009 is Balance as well, though there some others that I want to use as well. Who says we have to limited to one word. lol!

I am going to start this tonight!

What a great idea! I started the scripture a week challenge on a blog last year but didn't make it more than about 15 weeks in. But I got a lot out of it so even if I don't do the challenge every week it will still be very beneficial! Now to decide on my base...

If I understand this correctly, the first step is finding a word. I got together a list of words for us.

I chose a word but I know that I had several that I wanted so I plan to use some of the other words throughout the year

That's an awesome list Chelise!
You don't necessarily have to pick a word for the first challenge...the prompt is "What do you wish for in 2009?" I just used my word because it's my overall wish for the year. Plus I wanted to make something with my word for the year.
